Storage advice
The chillies will last longer if you keep them in the fridge.
How many vegetables manage to get a mention in the Guinness Book of Records? This one certainly does: the Carolina Reaper is currently listed as the hottest pepper in the world! Chilli peppers are already known as being hot and spicy, but the extreme heat of the EAT ME Carolina Reaper really takes the crown by being super hot. You can recognise this red chilli thanks to its fairly wrinkled skin.
But what the Carolina Reaper lacks in looks, is made up for by its score on the Scoville scale. This scale is used as a method to measure and express how hot chilli peppers are. For example, a cayenne pepper scores 50,000 units on the Scoville scale. The habanero, which already has a reputation for hotness, scores an impressive 350,000. And the Carolina Reaper? Prepare to be awed - it has an impressive score of 1,650,000! This corresponds well to EAT ME's own classification. On our hot scale from 0 to 10, this chilli scores the maximum 10. So we advise you to use this spicy chilli with caution!
Before you cut the chilli, it's a good idea to rub your hands with oil. This prevents too much of the chilli being absorbed by the skin. After it has been washed, you can finely slice or chop the Carolina Reaper to use in the recipe. After preparation, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and do not rub your eyes!

The answer might not be what you'd expect of an exotic chilli like this, but the Carolina Reaper comes from the Netherlands.
