Ingredients
Bulgur with sharon fruit and chicken
- 250 g bulgur
- 300 g chicken thigh fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
- 2 tbsp za’atar
- 2 sharon fruits
- 1 red onion
- 3 tomatoes
- 3 spring onions
- 1 clove of garlic
- 15 g flat leaf parsley
- 10 g chives
- 3 tbsp Turkish yoghurt
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp mustard
- salt and pepper
Preparation method
- Prepare the bulgur according to the instructions on the package.
- Cut the chicken into strips. Mix with the olive oil, paprika powder and za’atar. Season with salt and pepper. Leave to marinate for 5 minutes.
- Slice the sharon fruit into small cubes. Slice the red onion into rings and the tomato into small cubes. Slice the spring onion into rings.
- Finely chop the garlic, parsley and chives. Mix the herbs with the yoghurt, mayonnaise and mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large frying pan. Fry the chicken on a medium heat for approx. 5 minutes until golden brown and cooked. Add the bulgur and stir well. Transfer to a bowl. Add the red onion, tomato, sharon fruit and spring onion. Serve with the garlic and herb sauce.
